Privacy Policy
Perfect Tradesmen is the data controller for personal information used to operate this service. This notice explains the principal information used by the pre-launch service and will be completed with the controller's postal and privacy contact details before public launch.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide when registering, managing your account, creating or managing a business profile, requesting trade work, leaving a review, or communicating through Perfect. This can include your name, email address, phone number, postcode, trade, project information, photographs, messages, and the businesses you are authorised to represent.
If somebody invites a tradesperson, we receive the intended recipient's email address, their business or trading name, the inviter's identity, the purpose and context of the invitation, an optional message, and limited job information. We record when the inviter confirms that they know the recipient or have a legitimate reason to contact them. An invitation does not subscribe its recipient to marketing.
Like most websites, our server may also record basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, and the date and time of requests. This helps us keep the site working and investigate faults.
How we use information
We use account and project information to provide and secure accounts, connect customers and tradespeople, operate business profiles, record requests and outcomes, respond to enquiries, prevent misuse, and improve the service. We keep personal, business, and customer-project contexts distinct and restrict shared project information to the people who need it.
We do not sell personal information.
Tradesperson invitations
Invitation emails are one-off transactional messages requested by a Perfect user. Secure invitation links expire after 14 days. The recipient can accept or decline, and the sender can revoke a pending invitation. Accepting requires an account using the invited email address. Invitation details do not create a public listing and are not evidence that Perfect has verified the recipient.
Who can see information
A tradesperson can see information deliberately shared for their own request or project engagement. They do not automatically receive a homeowner's identity, exact address, unrelated trade history, payment history, private notes, another business's commercial terms, or internal platform risk information.
Retention and your choices
We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the service, security, accounting, dispute evidence, and applicable legal obligations. Account settings provide access to personal-data download and account-deletion controls. You can also revoke a pending invitation from My account, or decline one from its secure invitation page. The production retention schedule and erasure process will be published before public launch.
Cookies and browser storage
Perfect currently uses first-party cookies that are necessary to sign you in, keep your account secure, remember essential authentication choices, and protect forms from forgery. We do not currently use advertising, behavioural-tracking, or third-party analytics cookies. Necessary cookies do not require consent, but we describe them here so their purpose is clear.
If optional analytics or marketing technology is added later, Perfect will ask for a clear choice before activating it where consent is required. Refusing optional technology will not prevent use of the core service.
Browser push notifications
Signed-in users can choose to receive browser alerts for important account events such as a new booking request. Perfect asks only after you select “Enable notifications”. If enabled, we store the browser push endpoint and encryption keys needed to deliver alerts; these identify a browser subscription but do not reveal the content of unrelated browsing. You can disable notifications from My account or your browser settings at any time. Notification permission is separate from cookie consent.
Your rights
UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the use of your personal information, and to receive certain information in a portable format. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Controller contact details and the route for making a rights request will be added here before public launch.
Contact
The controller's postal address and dedicated privacy contact details must be added before public launch.
Updates
We will update this notice as the service develops and when the final lawful-basis, retention, processor, international-transfer and cookie assessments are completed before public launch.
