Garden Fencing & Gates
A damaged fence may need a local repair or a complete replacement, depending on the condition of the posts and surrounding sections. Describe the length, height and style you have in mind, along with the problem you want to solve. Privacy, wind exposure, pets and access requirements can lead to different choices.

Jobs to discuss with a professional
- Replacement fence panels and posts
- New garden fencing
- Side gates and gate repairs
Before you ask for a quote
- Measure the approximate run and photograph damaged sections and posts.
- Check the boundary position and discuss shared access with neighbours before work is arranged.
- Explain any slope, planting or obstacles along the fence line.
- Ask whether removal, disposal, gravel boards, finishes and gate hardware are included.
Can just one damaged panel be replaced?
Sometimes. The surrounding posts and fittings need to be sound, and the replacement needs to fit. A contractor can assess whether a small repair is sensible or whether nearby sections also need attention. Photos help with an initial discussion, but an inspection may still be needed.
For any quote, agree the work, exclusions, timing and how changes will be approved. Keep a written record so both sides know what is included.
