Gardening & Garden Maintenance

A garden visit can mean anything from a quick lawn cut to restoring an overgrown space. Be clear whether you want a one-off tidy-up or regular care, and which parts of the garden need attention. Plants you want to preserve, the amount of green waste and access through the property can all change the scope of the job.

Perfect Tradesmen is preparing for launch. Registering interest does not book work or guarantee an available tradesperson.

Jobs to discuss with a professional

  • Lawn mowing and edging
  • Weeding, border care and seasonal planting
  • One-off garden tidy-ups and recurring maintenance

Before you ask for a quote

  • Describe the approximate garden size and its current condition.
  • Identify plants or areas that should be left untouched.
  • Agree whether green-waste removal is included and where equipment can enter.
  • For repeat visits, discuss frequency, seasonal tasks and what happens in poor weather.

What should a regular gardening visit include?

Agree a task list and priorities. A fixed visit length may not cover every task each time, so decide what matters most and how extra work will be quoted. Major tree work and changes to the garden layout may need separate specialists.

For any quote, agree the work, exclusions, timing and how changes will be approved. Keep a written record so both sides know what is included.
