Tree Care & Tree Surgery

Tree work needs a clear assessment of the tree and its surroundings. Describe whether your concern is damage, overgrowth, light or a change in the tree's condition. Photos taken from ground level help explain the situation, but a professional may need to inspect it before recommending suitable work.

Perfect Tradesmen is preparing for launch. Registering interest does not book work or guarantee an available tradesperson.

Jobs to discuss with a professional

  • Tree assessment and pruning
  • Tree removal where appropriate
  • Stump work and removal of cut material

Before you ask for a quote

  • Note nearby buildings, roads, cables and access restrictions.
  • Agree who will check tree protections and any required permissions.
  • Ask about relevant experience, insurance and how the work area will be managed.
  • Specify whether branches, logs, chippings and stumps are to remain or be removed.

Will a gardening service cover tree work?

Routine garden care and specialist tree work are different scopes. Ask explicitly what a business can undertake. For work at height, large branches or removal, discuss the job with a suitably equipped tree specialist; this guide is for planning professional work, not attempting it yourself.

For any quote, agree the work, exclusions, timing and how changes will be approved. Keep a written record so both sides know what is included.
